Midway through the 22nd Century, humans are just starting to explore the Cosmos. They've made First Contact with an alien race - the Vulcans - and are now starting off on their quest of exploration. The Enterprise NX-01, captained by Jonathan Archer (Scott Bakula) - a prototype for all Starfleet captains to come - makes history with every light-year it travels. Encountering a host of familiar Star Trex species, they quickly become embroiled in a Temporal Cold War - a battle across the centuries. Many other problems come across their path. The Romulans pop up to make trouble, the Andorians never seem to get along with anyone, and the Xindi try to distroy Earth. All it a days work for Archer. We all know where they're heading - the other Star Trek series have shown us whats to come. The question is, how do they get there? How do they actually found the Federation?
